Homemade Protein Shakes Recipes

Want to learn how to make your own delicious protein shakes? Here are some recipes that you can use.

Making a protein shake starts with knowing the amount of protein that you want in the shake.

For example, if you want to consume 30g of protein, then make sure that you don't add excessive ingredients into your shake. Check out some sample recipes below.

Recipe 1:

Amount of protein: 30g

Ingredients:

2 eggs (10g protein)
1 glass of milk (5g protein)
1 banana (for fiber)
1 scoop of whey protein (15g protein)

Recipe 2:

Amount of protein: 20g

Ingredients:

1 glass of soy milk (5g protein)
1 scoop of whey protein powder (15g protein)
1 banana (for fiber)

Use a good blender to make your shakes. I'll post more articles on the type of blender to use in future articles.

Recipe 1 is more for men, as they may require larger amount of protein. For ladies, try out recipe 2.

You may wish to use different types of fruit for different flavors.

For example:

Recipe 3:

Amount of protein: 20g

Ingredients:

1 glass of almond flavored soy milk (5g protein)
1 scoop of vanilla whey protein powder (15g protein)
3 strawberries for taste and color
Optional ice cubes (if you want an ice blended drink)

For those who enjoy drinking coffees, here is a great tasting protein shake.

Recipe 4:

Amount of protein: 40g

Ingredients:

1 scoop of your favorite coffee powder
1 scoop of chocolate whey protein powder (25g protein)
2 eggs (10g protein)
1 glass of milk (5g protein)
Ice cubes for ice blended

The above recipe can produce up to 2 glasses of shakes, as the ice cubes can produce more water. In this case, 1 drink contains about 20g of protein. Share the drink with a friend!
